Testimonials

To Luis,

After viewing the slideshow and unwinding the tape of our memories from the trip to the Island, it triggered, provoked me to propose a toast “Hymn to Luis”

(Toast)

“I would like to honor philosophy of a man who wants to embrace the nature: taking from the mother-nature only what we need and return back as much as we can.

This man surrounds himself with harmony, morality and ethics. His soul is unpolluted and, therefore, he can speak and look into our eyes without fear of being ambivalent.

I got the feeling that he cherishes Mona Island as an enclave of untouched purity, beauty and unity with eternity.

*** Peroration ***

On the last day on Mona Island, we went for deep fishing (Alex, Len, Michael, me and the boat).

I am not the fisherman and my top goal was just to get a colorful picture I can brag about later (see attachment – I would catch only the fish which will match the color of my shirt).

We sailed about 10-15 minutes into the ocean and the fish rush started. The guys madly started catching the whole ocean, and they forgot about anything except the bucket they would have to fill up with the caught fish. As for me, I was under impression that the boat anchored on very deep spot and I would have to unwind the fishing line back and force just for that picture. That was not a wise decision. Burning sun and lack of fish were contributing factors for me to start feeling miserable. Suddenly, I saw Luis has been riding waves on his yellow board towards to us (in the middle of the ocean).

At that moment, he looked to me like a Jesus walking on water.

I raise the glass -To the man – To the god”

Hi Luis,

We are back now on the big land, washed, relaxed and a bit wounded (sea erchins in PR) and Mona adventure seems more and more unreal from here….

I would like to thank you for everything you have done for me , Philipp and the rest of the team. You really did your best and even more and it was seen by everybody else how you managed to fill the missing personnel and your partner’s mistakes….
We enjoyed your company wheather you were accompaning us when we dicided to not to go all the wayto the lighthouse, fishing and at the same time played so many other roles including cooking, catching langusts ot spear hunting…. It is amazing how many roles one man could play at the same time.

Thank you. Without you this trip would be rather dull and uneventfull.

I was serious about Russia …so if ypou ever decide to come – please let me know. We also know how to greet good people/guests.

All the best in your difficult and adventures carrier. I hope our ways will cross again soon.

Yours,
Alexander and Philipp Bogdanov

I just came back from a kiteboarding trip to Puerto Rico with Lenya.  I was kiteboarding before in Outer Banks – North Caroline, Maui – Hawaii and Cabarete – Dominican Republic, kiteboarding in La Parguera is by far the best kiteboarding experience I had so far.  Our instructor, Luis Mendoza, was not only very knowledgable about kiteboarding but he was also able to present all aspects of that sport in a structured manner that is very efficient, his instructions were very interesting and right to the point. My daughter, age 16,  was able to kiteboard on the third day of our stay.
The whole Puerto Rican trip was very well organized, one of the days we had no wind for kiteboarding ( that’s one factor that neither Louis or Lenya have no control over 🙁 ), so Lenya presented our group with several activities that we could do instead.  We choose hiking in a canyon and did not regret it.  The view was fantastic, we got to see waterfall and swim underneath it, part of the way we walked through the forest, the rest we had to climb over rocks at the bottom of the canyon.
I’ll definitely come back to La Parguera to advance my kiteboarding skills and ride the board in one of the most beautifull settings in the world.
